MEDIEVAL GROUP VISITS DENMARK Fair organisers off to see how the Danes do it.
Members of the Companions of the Black Bear, organisers of the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival are off to a festival in Horsens in Denmark. The party of 11 will spend two days at the festival, when the whole of the town centre is being given over to feasting and entertainment. The town will be fully decorated for the occasion and the only lighting will be flaming torches.
A spokesman for the group said: "It is always good to see how other countries do these things, and who knows, we may even pick up some ideas to make Tewkesbury Festival even better."
