The front of the Roses Theatre in Sun Street will soon be getting a new look. The old sign, which has hung over the doorway since it opened 23 years ago has been taken down and the replacement will not be ready for a few weeks yet.
Technical Manager, Louise Pounder, explained "We had to take the old sign down to see what was behind it, so we knew what needed doing”.
"It is a bit of history gone, but it will look very smart when the new sign is in place." Louise could not say how long the project would take to complete. The sign which has hung above The Roses Theatre for the past 23 years has been taken down and a replacement will not be ready for several weeks.
