CHARLOTTE IS THIS YEAR'S RIVER FAIRY Hard Choice for Judges..
This year's Tewkesbury River Fairy is six-year-old Charlotte Walker of Wynyard's Close. Town Mayoress, Josie Randall and Borough Mayoress, Maureen Calway chose Charlotte from a bevy of nine miniature beauties.
This year, for the first time, there was also a class for boys to find the best river pirate. With only one entry this year, five year old Harry Checkley of Walton Cardiff was a sure fire winner.
After the competition all the contestants, together with their Fairy Godmother and the two Mayoresses joined a procession of decorated boats, aboard a boat loaned by Telstar Pleasure Cruisers.
