IF IT FLOATS YOU CAN RACE IT Fun event planned for water festival
Being able to float is the only criteria for entry in a new event being planned for this year's water festival.
Craft of all shapes and sizes are wanted for a very short race along the Mill Avon from King John's Tavern to Allied Mills.
Organiser Barbara Cromwell said: "The water bike from last year's race is still around, and I know of someone who has joined about six baths together. It would be brilliant if someone could come up with something like a Loch Ness monster made out of tyres, but really anything goes. The sillier the better."
The 'whatever floats' race will be part of the annual Tewkesbury Water Festival on July 22nd. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Mrs Cromwell on 01684 293480.
