HELPING THE TOWN TO BLOOM Opportunity Centre clients get dug in.
A team of workers from the Tewkesbury Adult Opportunity Centre is doing it's bit to give the town a floral boost. Using plants grown by the centre, they have planted up the raised beds at the Back of Avon and will be maintaining them throughout the summer.
Their efforts should boost the town's chances of success in the Britain in Bloom competition, which will be judged some time in July.
The centre, which caters for adults with learning disabilities, has it's own very successful horticultural project.
Rob Hainsworth, who is in charge of the borough's parks and gardens, said: "I was very impressed with the horticultural work that goes on at the centre and it is great that they have agreed to help us out".
