ABBEY HERB DAY
Top herbalist to be guest speaker.

Ann Mcintyre, the writer and broadcaster on medical herbalism will be the guest speaker at Tewkesbury Abbey Herb Day on July 15.

Experts from Selsey Herb Farm will be on hand to answer questions on the cultivation and use of herbs. For those inspired by the day, they will also be selling plants. There will be cookery demonstrations, using modern and medieval recipes, with a chance to taste the results - and a special herb based menu on offer in the refectory.

Joanna Chorley will take visitors on a guided tour of the Abbey grounds, focusing on the herbs grown and used by the monks. Maureen Dadswell will talk about their modern day application in Aromatherapy. Anne McIntyre's talk starts the day at 11am it all ends at 5pm.

Admission, including all talks and demonstrations is £4.50, £3 after 1pm. Most events take place in the Visitors Centre.
