Mayor Making Ceremony New man takes up chain of office
At that meeting the present mayor, Coun Peter Aldridge will stand down, and the now deputy mayor, Coun Peter Randell will take over. Coun Brian Calway will become the new deputy mayor.
The meeting is also the time when the winners of the Tewkesbury Town Community Award are announced. The awards are made to people who have made a real contribution to the life of the town for a period of at least 15 years. The names of the winners are kept a secret until the day.
