CHARITY CONCERT A GREAT SUCCESS Children will benefit
The Town Mayor's charity concert at the Roses Theatre last Saturday was a great success. Local groups including the Mystique Twirlers, Tewkesbury School Jazz Band, Manor Players and Tewkesbury Amateur Dramatic Association all took part in the show, to great acclaim. Judy Gibson, the theatre's marketing manager, was compere.
The Mayor, Councillor Peter Randell was delighted with both the quality of the performances and the amount of money raised. All the proceeds from the concert will go to a charity to provide IT equipment for local schools. An initial count showed that the event had raised over £1,000.
